IT Lab is pleased to announce that our Business Continuity Management System has been formally recognised as meeting the exacting criteria of ISO – the International Organization for Standardization.
ISO 22301:2012 centres on an organisation’s preparedness in the event of disruption or disaster and its capability to continue to function effectively. At IT Lab, this means minimising the impact on our clients by having the processes – and resilience - to deliver our core services.
Brian Hopla, IT Lab’s Information Security and Compliance Officer commented: “This is our third ISO certification; we’ve held both ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management System) for some time now.
“Worldwide, fewer than 4,000 organisations hold ISO 22301. When you consider that over one million have ISO 9001, it’s no mean feat.”
Peter Sweetbaum, IT Lab’s CEO added: “Every day, we support over 750 clients representing around 25,000 people. Our 400+ strong team works across three locations and 1 petabyte of data is stored on our Cloudlab platform alone.
“In addition to our managed IT services, we deliver a suite of other business-critical solutions, including our Security Operations Centre, which our clients rely on in ever greater numbers. I’m delighted that we can offer the vital reassurance that ISO 22301 affords and congratulate Brian Hopla and his colleagues on their achievement.”
